Syntax highlighting takes most of the time when a large file is opened. This applies to every file type
(KUKA KRC / VKRC, Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa and plain text files such as parameter or log files).
A file with more than 15000 lines is highlighted in portions: the file is shown at once and a progress dialog
Syntax highlighting (Highlighting ... lines...) shows how far the highlighting is. The program stays responsive in the meantime.
To open a large file faster press Stop highlighting in the progress dialog. The file stays open and can be
read, searched and edited as usual - only the lines that were not highlighted yet stay without colours. For example
ALL.PRM of a Yaskawa backup (about 40000 lines) opens immediately this way, instead of waiting for the whole
file to be coloured.
To get the colours back, close the file and open it again without stopping the highlighting.
The comparison windows (PlainText Diff, Archive Diff) never highlight the files - they show the differences in
colours instead, so large files open there quickly anyway.
